Natural Health: Naturopathy Program
Pursue a career in natural health or gain valuable skills to help your family and friends with their health concerns. Wherever your interests may lie in the field of natural health, the Naturopathy program offers a variety of classes to meet those interests.
The Naturopathy program offers four years of training; at the completion of each year, a new credential will be awarded. Students are encouraged to commit to the full four-year program, resulting in a Certified Naturopath (C.N.) diploma and the opportunity to take the American Naturopathic Medical Association National Exam to receive the title Naturopathic Doctor (N.D.). Each year in the Naturopathy program will further equip you with the knowledge, skills and depth needed to impact the world of natural health.
Develop your skills, become eligible to be licensed as a massage therapist and start a career in just one year! The Naturopathic Institute’s Therapeutic Bodywork Practitioner program includes training in Swedish relaxation, deep tissue, lymphatic drain, pressure point, myofascia, reflexology, craniosacral, and more. Unique to our extensive program are classes in nutrition, advanced aromatherapy, flower remedies and light healing touch therapy, as well as emphasis on ethics, professionalism and business-building skills.
The Therapeutic Bodywork Practitioner program is a 12-month training program that meets two weekends per month and requires 625 hours of instruction and 100 hours of independent study. This meets the state mandated educational requirements for those wishing to become Licensed Massage Therapists.
Upon completion of the Therapeutic Bodywork Practitioner program, students are eligible to apply to the State of Michigan for their license to practice as a Massage Therapist in the State of Michigan. This involves an application fee, fingerprinting, background checks, and the successful completion of the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx). The education you receive from NITE provides you with all the tools and skills necessary to fulfill the educational requirements to obtain the license.
Passionate about the birth process? We’re living in a complex time where the commonly accepted approach to birth needs to be re-evaluated, and we need doulas to help do just that!
Embark on a seven-month training experience that offers a career opportunity as well as a life-changing understanding of pregnancy, labor and delivery, and the newborn. This program is designed to prepare students to assist in natural childbirth, both in the home and hospital setting.
Unlike midwives who assist in delivering newborns, the Holistic Labor Companion program’s focus is on supporting the mother through the pregnancy, birth and early infancy phases. This program is unique to other birth assistant (doula) programs, in that it includes training in multiple natural health methods and therapies, such as nutrition, muscle testing, homeopathy, essential oils, and more.
