Each group follows a specific path toward certification. See the details below to determine your enrollment process and costs.
How to Enroll in the Emphasis Certificate Program
To begin working toward your Emphasis Certification, all students must complete the following:
- Â Â Certification Enrollment Agreement
- Â Â Individual Class Registration Form (due 10 days before each class)
- Â Â Payment for applicable courses (due 10 days before each class)
- Â Â A meeting with an Academic Advisor (recommended to create your academic plan)

Details by Student Type
Degree-Seeking Students
If you are in one of our degree programs, you’ll follow your Natural Health academic plan and complete the required Emphasis classes based on your department of choice. Classes are primarily weekend-based. Work with your Academic Advisor to map out your certification path.
New Students (Certificate Only)
New students can enroll in the Emphasis Certification track to increase their skill set without pursuing one of our full degree programs. You may need to meet prerequisites depending on the department. Emphasis classes are stand-alone and can be taken as offered.
Alumni
The Emphasis Certification Program is a great way to advance your career, skills, and knowledge while earning a professional certification. You do not need to retake core classes already completed during your degree. You will only pay for new classes required in your emphasis department. An updated academic plan will be created with your advisor.

Non-Degree Seeking
If you previously completed relevant classes as a non-degree student, you will need to retake them to meet certification standards, including directed studies and testing. A discounted rate applies.

Additional Notes
- Emphasis Classes are 1-day courses offered throughout the year.
- Core classes are part of the Natural Health curriculum and held on weekends.
- Meeting with an Academic Advisor is highly encouraged to avoid schedule conflicts or missed requirements.
