Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team at Portland Family Chiropractic. This role involves assessing patient needs, providing therapeutic massage treatments, and ensuring a positive experience for all clients. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Perform a variety of massage techniques, including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy, to address pain management and promote relaxation.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively target areas of tension and discomfort.
- Maintain accurate records of treatments administered and client progress.
- Provide exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming environment and addressing client inquiries or concerns.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary to support patient care.
- Uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards within the treatment area.
Requirements
- Valid massage therapy license in accordance with state regulations.
- Proficiency in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other modalities.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to massage therapy.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to assess individual needs effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about industry trends.
- Must be willing to become credentialed with the VA.
