RE: Class Postponement through May 17

As we just learned Friday from Governor Whitmer, the Stay at Home order has been extended through May 15. Thus, we will once again be postponing all classes through the weekend of May 15, unless we receive another extension or direction. While there were some restrictions lifted on different areas of the economy, schooling was not one of them. And, as we move forward, the six-foot rule and face masks may be extended even further into the future. We continue to monitor the situation, and we hear your challenges. When we can provide you with more concrete information regarding the resumption of classes, we will get the information to you by email and the website, For those of you in the Natural Health program who still are working on homework that requires a hands-on approach, you may do so with phone consultations if possible. If you have specific questions about how to do this, please send an email to: and in the Subject Line put ATTN:  Dr. Howard.  For those of you in the Therapeutic Bodywork Practitioner program who are still working on homework that requires practical work, you may hold your homework until after the Stay at Home order has lifted, or you can work on family members more than once.  Also, Instructor Straus has agreed to do some tutoring by Skype for those who might need the extra help. Please email me at: and in the Subject Line put: TBP Tutoring Needed.  We will do our best to accommodate your request. If any of you have yet to teach a class as part of your homework, then teach it to as many family and friends as is possible at this time – keeping in mind a space that can accommodate social distancing. Currently, we are not assessing late fees. Students whose names appear on the class rosters that have been impacted by the postponements in March, April, and May will receive individual class emails regarding new scheduled dates. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at: Sincerely,Amy Jo Howard Director of Education
