COVID-19 Update: 4/2/20

April 2, 2020

Dear Naturopathic Instructors and Current Students,

After listening to Governor Whitmer’s briefing this morning, it is quite clear that she and the administration feel that we are still on an uphill climb, and there continues to be more and more Executive Orders and information forthcoming. To keep current on the Executive Orders, you can find them here: https://www.michigan.gov/coronavirus/0,9753,7-406-98178_98455-521682–,00.html

While a decision had not been shared in regards to lifting the Stay At Home order, EO 2020-21, she did say more than once that the state would remain stringent in trying to slow the spread of the Coronavirus-19, and outlined what would be happening with K-12 education – including her Executive Order that there will be no more face-to-face education for the remainder of the school year.

With that being said, we are continuing to monitor the situation and waiting on more news and guidance regarding our roles and responsibilities as a school. As soon as we have decided on when we will be able to resume classes, we will share with you through email, Facebook and the Web site.

By only postponing one weekend coming up April 3 – 5, we already have several classes that will need to be rescheduled. Our schedule is tight as it is in a regular year, and these classes will need to be scheduled in such a way that meets ALL the needs of ALL the current students the best we can. Your consideration and patience will be most appreciated as we work through this in a timely manner.

Rest assured that when we have something to share, we will do so. Also, be assured that you will be given as much advance notice as possible of the updated schedule, as well as any further schedule changes as we make them. If we do need to postpone any further classes, those students on those rosters will be notified by individual email along with the corresponding instructor.

Sincerely,
Amy Jo Howard
Director of Education
